»YEHLIU / Taiwan«
Fotografien / Photographs
In 2017 I was able to take photos of the unusual and bizarre rock formations in Yehliu Geo Park/Taiwan, which give the coast of the small headland in the north of the island its singular character.
Over thousands of years, wind and water eroded the sediments in different ways. The remains of organic material from shells or corals left strange honeycomb patterns as a result of leaching in aeonian time. Nature's persistent and unrelenting power of transformation created bizarre sculptures that challenge our imagination and awaken uncanny associations within us.
